About SLK
As new products and technologies enter the market faster than ever before, it is essential for professionals to continuously keep abreast of the latest developments through comprehensive learning that they can use in their day-to-day practices. The SLK Optometry Foundation is a non-governmental organisation established in memory of the late SL Kumar, founder-editor of The Indian Optician, a leading optical journal. The Foundation works at improving ocular health care by upgrading the skills of dispensing opticians and optometrists through seminars, symposiums, workshops, live demonstrations and training, conducted in locations across India. These programmes, conducted by experts in the field over the past 15 years, are highly regarded for their quality and relevance. Over 1600 opticians and optometrists have availed of them so far.
