The Indian subcontinent’s most influential international trade fair for ophthalmic optics reinforced its role as a key promoter for the trade at its 15th edition that took place from 1
2-14 April, 2019 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The exhibition proved to be a fine launching pad for the many international eyewear brands keen to enter the Indian market, and the 2019 edition was particularly fruitful for all the participants.
The exhibition’s layout and ambience matched the best global standards and the show reflected the overall booming Indian optical market and strong growth in the luxury segments as well.
In-Optics 2019, held on an expanded space spread over 15,000 square metres housed 202 spacious booths and boasted of 18,654 visitors from every part of the country including overseas visitors from 22 countries.
Exhibits on display
The calibre of the exhibits was of a high order. The exhibitors, 18 per cent of which were new companies, were from all over the world including Germany, China, Korea, Malaysia, Brazil, and all parts of India. The large number of exhibitors from China
had their own dedicated area that attracted many footfalls, as did the Far East Pavilion.
On view was a wide range of fashion and high-tech products: spectacle frames, sunglasses, ophthalmic and contact lenses, contact lens accessories, shop displays, optical software, and raw materials. Machinery and instruments were showcased in their own dedicated area. Visitors also got to enjoy the launch of new concepts, updates on the current trends in technology, design and know-how, making it a comprehensive event.
A great success
The 15th edition of In-Optics, South Asia’s premier international trade fair and exhibition in ophthalmic optics was a great success on all fronts. Feedback from the many exhibitors and trade visitors was very positive as their experiences exceeded their expectations. It was clear that participating in the event made sound business sense as solid orders were booked and new opportunities were discovered.
The venue was buzzing throughout the three days of the show. A selfie booth, lucky draws and special offers on products by quite a few of the exhibitors were added attractions.
In-Optics 2019 had the support of leading global companies Luxottica and the Safilo as the platinum and gold sponsors, respectively. Killer, Optilab, Pitt&Mitt, Scott, RKOS, Scavin, Sillotti, Sprint, Suprol and Tag Hills too gave their support as silver sponsors. Spectacase organised a free shuttle service between the venue and Chandni Chowk, the main optical hub in Delhi.
The show also enjoyed the backing of the All India Optical Federation, Indian Optometric Association and the Calcutta Optical Association, and media partners, the UAE’s Eye Zone, Optical World UK, Italy’s Vedere International and The Indian Optician.
